GET THE VGK

Where to install?

The VGK is an advanced and highly functional artificial joint, requiring individual installation and accurate adjustment to ensure that all its adaptive functions work in accordance with each amputee’s personal alignment and gait pattern.

If you live in Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Cairns, you can easily schedule an appointment to consult with trained prosthetists at the local clinics listed below, and denoted on the map.

Try the VGK

If you are in Brisbane and want to try the VGK, please visit Queensland Prosthetics, an authorized center for the VGK trials and installations. Trial knee joints are always available in the clinic for personal testing.

Our staff can work closely with your current prosthetist to coordinate appropriate on-site support. Depending upon personal circumstances, we can also discuss an on-site trial installation of the VGK.

Pricing

Like other prosthetic components, the VGK is not sold in shops, because it requires the precise installation and accurate adjustment on an artificial limb, so the purchase price also includes the cost of the prosthetic treatment.

Depending on a prosthetic service provider’s business practices and policies, the price for the VGK may vary. In general, the total cost of the VGK installation and adjustment amounts to approximately one-third the total cost of most commercially popular electronic knee units. In this case, the VGK installation could potentially save an amputee AU$20.000 to 30.000.
